Motorcycle Trip in July...Road Suggestions?

Hi all, I've been something of a work-aholic so far this year and it's about time to clear the cobwebs. I'm going to be taking a little more than a week in July to find some of the best roads this country (and possibly our neighbors to the north) can offer. I'll be starting off on a Friday by hauling butt from Pittsburgh down to Clemson to see my best friend from college. From there we are planning on hitting up the Tail of the Dragon and some of the surrounding areas for that Saturday and possibly Sunday. After that point, I am not sure which direction I want to head. I could ride all the way up the Blue Ridge Parkway; however, I believe that will only take me a day.

Basically, I am looking for any suggestions the other riders here may have for good views, twisty roads, and just plain enjoyable areas. I'm not opposed to heading the way of the West Coast; however, I would need to find plenty of fun roads in all of those flat states in between. Thanks!
