Oregon is a beautiful place to visit, know several people that moved there to get away, get in the greenery and out of Southern California, most moved back to So Cal in a couple of years though, rain can become very depressing.
I personally think its a sportsman's paradise but most people there now aint to keen to strangers ruining their secrete.
