Water puddles

Quick question:

When you guys with stock tires hit a standing water puddle on the road, does the water go out to the sides or does it tend to fly up and hit the windshield.

This may be a strange question but I have had several vehicles do very different things with standing water.

Land Rover Discovery would always push it out to the sides regardless of depth. Ford F150 always splashes up and onto the windshield.

TIA
