Re: FL FJC's to Black Moose ORV

Thanks again Grant for taking the time to pull this together. For those that couldn't make it you really missed a good time, hope to see you next go around

Carnage Report:

Black Moose in Feb. HERE

1 FJ Driver Side Mirror
1 Fan / Pulley Idler Bracket Bearing (mine) due to fail anyway
1 Sammi Transfer Case
2 FJ Bumpers (Sand_Man)

Had a great time wheelin with the FL guys, too bad you guys are so far away.

Anyway, fun short story: NGA-FJC (Eric) is leading a pack of 4, he shoots ahead of the pack to check on a narrow tree squeeze which can be really tricky when wet. Fortunately it was dry today so he drives on through. When on the other side he hops on the CB telling us to "come on up" and then happens to find a couple of traffic cones laying in the woods. Understand that NGA-FJC has a devious mind and proceeds to put the 2 cones in front of the narrow opening indicating a detour -- SUCKERS!!!! For those of you that know the spot you also know the detour is a mud hole w/ a very narrow gap b/w the hole and the back side of the left tree which can give you an "out." For those who don't know, the mud hole is practically part of a lake and yea! you guessed it, it's always DEEP. FJCRUZR falls for the ruse and takes the the detour but takes the "out" w/o suspecting a thing --- Chicken! Kodek (Mike), coming up next also takes the bait but points his nose toward the mud hole, thinks about it for a minute (more like suckered into it), and presses on the gas peddle. Well everything is going great until his tires hit the mud (obviously sarcasm here) and as soon as the rear bumper drops in everything comes to a dead stop, at least everything but his tires which are still hopelessly digging for traction! See the pictures. It took about 10 minutes and 1 FJ mirror later () to winch him out but we were on the trail again!

I have to add that wheeling at night was a lot of funl, have to do that more often.

Great time had by all and the accommodations were first rate!

Thanks again
