New Extended Length Bilstein Shocks Specifically for FJ Cruiser

ok, I've done the search and can't find where this shock has been mentioned yet.

First, does anyone know what the stock rear shock length is fully extended and compressed?

Bilstein now offers an FJ specific rear shock absorber that is 2" longer than stock for those that have a lift on the rear. This shock does not require an adapter according to Bilstein's technical help line.

Part number F4-BE5-E703-H0
Extended 23.50"
Compressed 14.91"
Valving 128/105
Lift 0 - 2"

They also have another that will fit the FJ but is really for the 4Runner but this one is only 1" longer.

Part number F4-BE5-C514-H0
Extended 22.53"
Compressed 14.67"
Valving 128/105
Lift 0 - 1"

The following shock is the 5125 sold by ToyTec that requires an adapter. Keep in mind that you lose about an inch in compression due to the adapter but also gain an inch in extension for the same reason.

Part number F4-BE5-A463-H0
Extended 24.35"
Compressed 15.11"
Valving 255/70

One last shock is the Explorer ProComp ES9000 which does not require an adapter

Part number 92451X
Extended 24.70"
Compressed 14.50"
Valving unknown

According to Bilstein's Valving Quick Reference Chart 255/70 valving is "Performance-for aggressive high speed off-road" and 170/60 is for comfort for mid-size truck and SUV.

Which would you rather do, slide down a 50 foot razor blade or suck all the snot out of a dog's nose until their head caves in?
