Sounds to me like the original tires are doing just fine. If the stick to the road/ground, don't make a lot of noise, ride ok and wear like that.. hey.. it works for me.. Ron

I am still using the original tires. My 07 has been on the road now for 21 months and has 23K miles on the odo. the tires all look new. I'm really surprised given the FJ's weight that the tires have so much tread depth remaining.

I do rotate them every time I change oil which is about 3000 to 3500 miles.

Is this consistent with the wear others are getting?

(I understand the original tires are junk and I plan to replace them with something better.)
