Re: Wire Winch Line Maintenance

Just a question. When I used to run equipment with a winch. I do not have a winch on my FJ yet.. I don't plan on getting it stuck.. but anyway. A lube that we would use consisted of diesel fuel and 90 weight gear oil to the fuel was to make the 90w thin enough to penetrate the rope what are your thoughts on this? We never had any problems with it and never broke a wire rope that was used properly.
