And actually the luxury liner does more to block out actual sound than the mat does. What the mat does is block out the metals ability to vibrate, creating rattles, and when it vibrates it also resonates. The mat will make it quieter by itself, and the luxury liner will make it quieter by itself, but the two together, big , HUGE difference from the noise on the highway and trucks passing by. very faint. I probably did a bit of a overkill job on my door panels , and you probably could just attach a sheet to the inner skin, cut to fit.
