Re: Buying A Gps System

Well lets see. I started with a Garmin 45 circa 1997, went to a Magellan - sold it 2 weeks later. Got a Garmin GPS III, sold it and replaced it with a Garmin GPS V, lost it off my snowmobile on Mount Baker replaced it with a Garmin GPSMap 60C, gave that one to my brother and got myself a Garmin GPSMap 60CSx.

I'm so Garmin that was my major deciding factor for my FJs on-board nav, the Kenwood DNX8120 /w Garmin navigation.

And for off road I have my laptop (/w DeLorme & MapSource) and a Garmin 18 "puck" but my Kenwood does pretty good now that I've loaded the Topo maps on it.

Garmin or go home. Yep, couldn't agree more.
