I just walked down to the parking garage and measured mine.
I have 14mm on the driver's side and 11mm on the passenger, and the bumper isn't close to touching the paint or the fender lip on either side. Measurement is from the trim piece under the headlight to the bumper. I've also got about 4mm between the metal body strap just under the painted trim piece and the bumper (at the closest angled point of that body strap).
I don't have a winch installed, though, if that makes any difference.
