Terahex just PM'ed me and asked what I would do different. Figure I should share that here too:
The only things I would do different:
- Make a bigger hole in the center console so the rubber grommet recesses. That would allow the bracket to sit flush. (I just didn't have a bigger bit when I did the install...)
- Maybe get a heavy duty spring rather than the medium. Still haven't made up my mind and the medium seems to be doing just fine.
- Use the 3M "Molding" sticky tape rather than the "Heavy Duty" as I think it has more stick...
