I've been a member for around a year and a half so I guess I'm a little late at doing a buildup thread. It's still a work in progress but so far I have been quite pleased with all of the mods I've done. This is what it looks like today:
It all started in September of 2007 when I finally convinced my wife to let me get an FJ. If only she knew what she was getting into. This is my FJ bone stock on a mountain road in Utah:
My build up is fairly mild at this point. Wheeling in Nevada is so diverse. We have everything from scenic mountain roads to high speed desert to hardcore rock crawling. I am trying to build a good all-around trail rig that is still my daily driver.
My current list of mods:

- Front - Icon extended travel coilovers

- Poly sway bar bushings and new collars
- Rear - OME 895 Springs with OME shocks (I started with Old Man Emu all the way around. I have since changed the front but not the rear.)

- 4 Hella FF75 roof mounted lights
- 2 Checkers HID bumper mounted lights

In Progress:
- Rear box and sleeper platform - We do a lot of multi-day camping/wheeling trips so this is must have. This should be done soon.
- On board air - My cheap compressor gave out so I am building my box to house a Viair 200psi system with the tank underneath

- Rear Icon reservoir shocks
- AFE exhaust
- Demello or ExOne rear bumper
- Rasta skids
