silver lake is a blast, i lived in whitehall (about 45 minutes away) until 3 years ago. highly recommended. to get into the ORV area you'll need an ORV sticker (15-20 for a year) and a day or annual vehicle state part pass (not sure the price of a daily, i think annual is up to $26 now). well worth it though.
