I know there was a thread that discussed this a bit, but I can't find it.
The EA057 filter is no longer listed as a oil filter to use on the Amsoil website for the FJ. If I remember correctly it was something to do with the Toyota filters clogging up and would not last to the specified extended oil change times.
They do however list the WIX filter. Does this mean that the WIX paper filter is being recommended to use INSTEAD of the synthetic Amsoil filter? Not for extended oil changes of course.
Should I stop using the EA057 filter? Is it OK to use the EA057 if I change it out at 5K?
Thanks.
[Edit] Nevermind. Found the info.

Amsoil no longer recommends the EaO09, EaO10, EaO57 oil filters for TOYOTA/LEXUS built engines for the extended 25,000 mile drain interval. The only way they will endorse the EaO filter for our trucks is if we use them at OEM drain interval recommendations. Even in that case, they still recommend using the comparable WIX 51348 instead of the EaO57, to save you some money. No sense in paying $16+ for the EaO filters anymore.
