I had a entertainment system in my F150 Supercrew, the kids could watch DVD'S or play video games, they had wireless headphones and any trip to Grandma's house or a weekend trip was a breeze.
The question I have is I am installing a nav system, next week, I have read about the headrest screens, which I think are bad for the kids eyes at 7 in are not the way I want to go. The screens can bee seen from the windows causing a break-in hazard.
I would like to install a 10.2 screen in the ceiling, which folds up and is less visable to the outside world.
I have the convience package only and am wondering if there was any harm in installing a overhead screen, and if there is anyone out there that has installed these with any good feedback.
I have read previos posts, but no one has come through with an answer. How about some help, if I keep the wife and kids busy inside, I can mod the outside when their not looking!
Because the space is limited it will be a bit tight with 10 inch screen and you would lose the dome light....So try to get a unit that has domelight built in.... If you have those ceiling speaker you might lose that too, but its not a big deal really....Any professional installer will find a way to mount it on the ceiling...
