My previous vehicle was notorious for indicating Dead Empty when there was still three gallons in the tank. Made folk think it was a 17, rather than a 20, gallon tank.
BTW, my first tank got 20 mpg (2WD, A/T).

The "low fuel" indicator light is located next to the fuel gauge. (the little gas pump) lights up with about 3 gallons left.
