Black step bar

Having to step out of our new FJ today after church, I found myself having to put my weight on the door sill and stepping out from there. The alternative would have been stepping down onto the ground and there was no way I could do that without rubbing my pants leg on the wet and muddy door sill. So I'm seriously considering the black step bars that southeast Toyota offers. Just wondered if anyone else has and ACTUALLY USES some type of step bar on your FJ. Do you find them useful? Or do you have them and find them useless? Or do you just jump out and hope for the best? Seriously though, I'd appreciate any feedback. Thanks
