Re: Moab, UT -- need some advice

Moab cannot be compared to anywhere else on earth ! The scenery is breathtakingly unbelievable. Many trails from light to killer you can pick. There is a 4x4 repair/rental shop right on the main drag. Most in there are experienced wheelers just talk to them, they will hopefully direct you to the right trails. Check for the Jeep Safari site, they have an open run in the spring, that would be a good way to get started. Also TLCA has a run in the spring called "Cruise Moab". All Toyota, all trails again light to difficult. Great bunch of folks. Joining their organization will give you a quarterly magazine that will keep you up to date on most all Toyota specific get togethers. Hope this helps.
