What's happened to the Best Western Twin Peaks?

It has disappeared from the Best Western main site, no reviews on Tripadvisor since mid November, and not showing up on any of the aggregator sites (hotwire / Expedia etc. for any dates in 2013). Is it still there?

I was thru Ouray two days ago and it's still there. All the signs are still up.

Re: What's happened to the Best Western Twin Peaks?

OK managed to track down some info - they have dropped from the Best Western franchise but still exist.

What that means . .
1) assuming you tried to book with BW points, you can no longer do so.
2) Any existing reservations will be honored
3) They still exist, and anticipate being around through July, just not as the Best Western brand.
4) Apparently the same owners, same staff . . .
5) This just happened, they are working on a website, but you may find them under Twin Peaks Lodging (Ouray CO Hot Springs Motel Ouray Hot Spring on Property -- Ouray Dog Friendly Hotels Ouray Dog Friendly Motels -- Best Western Ouray) currently still branded Best Western, shortly to become independent.

Their number is 970 325 4427 if you need any details/info.

Thanks for the legwork FJAdmin. If you want to stay there, book as early as they'll let you. It fills up fast. My friend Dockbox stayed there last year with his wife. It was quite handy to walk out your door and be in the middle of all the goings on.

Re: What's happened to the Best Western Twin Peaks?

This will be my 4th year at the Twin Peaks, my fifth summit, it's a great place with great staff. I re-booked the day I got home from the last one!

I called there for a room a couple of years ago in the summer and it was $350 a night so you're getting a deal.

BW was expensive but it is the center of action and walking distance to whatever you need in town. They have an amazing breakfast and clean rooms.
I have no regrets for paying a little more to stay at the BW last year.
