If the stock alternator is 100 amps this is more than enough. The fan should only be running durring stop and go and at idle. If your doing more than 25-30 mph the fan is not doing anything to cool the motor anyway. On the other hand the stock fan is turning all the time. Sure it has the fluid clutch and all but if you start your motor cold, the fan is turning. Wether its fully engaged or not its sapping power. Figure an electric fan and thermostat to run you around 250.00 TOPS. Thats cheep power. How much are headers and exhaust and for what gains??? I guess the warranty would still be good unless you kill the motor by overheating it huh? Wouldn't the little black box be able to show the operating temp in case of a claim on the motor? Just curious. Off topic but my engine sounds like it has 150k on it sometimes. Other times you can't even tell its running. I'm sure its fine but I have never heard so many diffent sounds from the same engine before.
