You can loosen the bolts attaching the upside down U shaped device which the door latches to (the striker) and then slide the striker inboard slightly and retorque the bolts. The striker bolts are mounted in slot shaped holes, and have nuts on the back which do not need to be held with a wrench, because they slide in a trough that keeps them from rotating (I think )
welp I was completely wrong. THe siucide door strikers are not in slots on the FJC after all; I was thinking of the FJ40 doors. A thousand pardons, folks.
