Re-Examining the A-TRAC + RR DIFF LOCK Hack...
Guys, I think there is a better way to do this than cutting the wire entering the 4WD ECU, and the answer is on page 190 of the wiring diagram...Junction L20.
I need to look at it a bit more, but I am thinking something along the lines of a "skip shift" eliminator where a dummy plug that isolates pin 8 and at the same time taps +12V to pin 11 (jumpered from another line in the same connector) is inserted in-line of the factory harness. All other lines would pass thru the connector as normal, and if push came to shove on a warranty issue, the in-line adapter is easily removed.
Isolating L20:P8 is easy, but I need to actually get under the truck with a meter looking for a constant source of +12V on L20; I'm betting there is at least one.
Am I missing something here?
