The Rubicon IS the better 4x4. Now if Peterson were giving out an all around off roader award, it would be a different story.
The Rubi isn't really an on road vehicle (I don't think any of my former Jeeps were). The fact that it has a solid axle with a front locker and a 4:1 T-case puts it worlds ahead of everyone else in.
If I remember correctly, (I haven't read Petersons in a few years) their test doesn't include a drag strip and a slalom course.
