Re: Oil Leak

Ya know, The Gents at my Oil Change pace said, he
seen someone pull the filter off with out putting the
cup under the catch drain hole, and ya know what
happened ???... OIL LEAK... Outa' of the little drain
plug hole at the oil filter...

NICE Thought there Gascolator !!!... Makes the Most
Sense considering they don't know what they are
talking about to begin with...

Biff: "Yo Charlie, You did take the plug out before you pulled the Oil filter off that FJ... RIGHT !!!..."

Charlie: "AAAhhh... YEAaaa, Of Course I Did"...
*Charlie quikly gets a cup and pulls the plug to drain what did not spill down the front of the engine*

LONG PAUSE.............

Charlie: "This here FJ Has oil running down the front of the engine, Must be an Oil leak or something..."

Biff: "Its Warrenty Work... Right it Up !!!"...

You know what it probably is? The slob probably either slopped
all over the place changing the oil filter, then couldn't get it all
cleaned up so it dripped everywhere OR dribbled when he was
putting the new oil in, and didn't clean up the resulting mess.

So now you've got oil sitting in various spots and it keeps getting
blown around.

You may not have a leak at all.

By the way, if it's the oil plug that's usually real obvious by the
trail leading from the hole or the drop sitting on the head of the
plug.
