TOYOTA FJ CRUISER
I love this car,partly for nostalgic reasons[ I had an original back in '72], but mostly for its no-pretensions presentation. Toyota flat-out says this is an off-road vehicle. And it's right. The company makes no claims that you'll want to commute in it. You don't. But for style, performance, and funkiness, and a price tag below $30,000, it's one of my favorites of the year.

In his latest article he changes his mind about it being a good daily commuter.
