Another very good reason why I don'nt let stealerships touch my FJ. I do my own oil changes.
I did this with a new 1989 4x4 Toyota pickup that I owned years ago. It never ever saw a Toyota mechanic and it ran trouble free for YEARS. Just an observation. If you can do you own maintenance. Or find a really good stealerships.
My guess is that the so called tech doing the oil change got really messy as suggested by some earlier posts. I would bet on this.
