Changing RPMs every, 1-2 min. for 1000's of miles is crazy. Also the so called break in method of 1000's of miles was meant for old v-8 engines the piston rings are so different on a new Toyota a good 20 min drive running though all your gears should be fine, you rings will be sealed.
