Re: rear speakers

I've tried to find that answer out myself. No one could tell me the exact location and how to disconnect them. So, I decided to just leave them. It's my understanding that they act as exciters so they optimally work when music is played loudly or when you fade the sound to the rear. I've upgraded my door, dash and rear speakers. I would do those for sure. You wouldn't beleive the crappy speakers they have in there. The size of the magnets are hilarious. My current plans is to add an amp to run the front speakers and leave the HU to run the rear and headliner exciters. Which, it's my understanding the exciters are @ 8 or 9ohms.... Dont quote me on that though. My rear speakers are just recommened at 25rms. So, my HU supplies 50 watts x4 so im thinking for the filler I need i'll just leave the exciters connected and power them and the rears with the HU. Should work out to where enough power is supplied for both.
