I've always steered clear of used amplifiers. I'm with you on that one.

Take a look at the Kicker series though. I think they start in the high $100's for a 4ch, but are very good. sounddomain.com has reviews too, as I know Circuit City does.

I would stay clear of the MTX and JBL as I see allot of those refurbished for sale on eBay.
