If it helps, most cars and SUV's do not have enough room in the back for the frontseat to go all the way back with an infant carseat installed. Case in point, my wife drives the Volvo SUV (perfect for her and her business, but not for me) and there is adequate room in its backseat, but not really when you put the infant car seat in.

But i understand your concern, as this is what I am planning on checking out before I purchase. I have another one on the way as well, and my concern is more centered on getting two kids into their carseats while only having access from one side (stinking suburban track homes and their tiny garages).

It has been recommended to me to utilize the roofrack for them, but I doubt I will get my wife to buy off on that one.
