Question About Hail Protection

I live in Texas, and we can generally expect at least one decent hailstorm a year. Up until this year I have always either had a garage, car port, or some type of cover for my previous truck. I just finally got my FJ this past weekend, we are coming up on Thunderstorm season in Texas, and my problem is that the apartments I live at offer no form of protection for my vehicle.

In fact last year in April we had a horrible hailstorm down here in San Marcos (worst one I have ever seen aside from the one in North Texas in the late 90s):
Anyone have any recommendations for ways I can pro-actively prepare myself for the upcoming severe weather season?
