Never heard that when I was looking - it's up to each dealer what they want to charge and different dealers will swing different deals, have different admin fees etc. The financing if you go through Toyota Canada is pretty much non-negotiable (grab your ankles!) but I emailed all the dealers and negotiated my price before walking into any dealer. Some wouldn't budge and the one I did go through budged only slightly. Trade-in value and admin fees are often the best place to try and negotiate. I haven't seen any FJs on the lots I drive by for a couple of months so if there aren't many to go around the dealing will be more difficult.
