Shake-out run, Potts Mtn, 3/24-3/25

I just finished converting my 1985 Toyota PU to fuel injection and I am going down to Potts Mtn this weekend to test everything out. If I can get at least one other rig to come along I will be leaving either Friday night or early Saturday morning.

Potts Mtn Jeep Trail is located north west of Roanoke Virginia. It starts in George Washington National Forest and finished in Jefferson National Forest. There is a small camping area located within a ¼ mile of the trailhead. I will be coming from Fredericksburg, Virginia.

The trail starts in the valley, goes straight up the mtn then runs along the top of the ridge. There are a few obstacles to play on with mild bypass for everything. I would recommend a rear locker for anyone trying this trail. My brother followed me last year in his 1988 4runner on 31” TSL’s and a welded rear. He also had rock sliders and a tough rear bumper. He banged it around some but had no trouble.

If anyone is interested in coming along or has any questions feel free to shoot me an email. ccannon222@yahoo.com.
