Do Rock Ski's make your insurance go up??
Hi all, I was at the dealer the other day, and the only FJ's they had were equiped (or screwed) with over priced side steps....god I hate those. I mentioned I wanted to add rock skis, so I had no intention of paying 400-600.00 for crappy soccermom side steps.
Then he tells me "your insurance will go up if you add those". I'm thinking...WTF? I've never head of that before...and there are TONS of aftermarket companies that make side bars....like smittybuilt, warn, etc....and I have never heard of them adding to your insurance.
He says "yea, they tack on another 50.00 a month for nothing".
I think it's a stupid kid with no actual real world knowledge on this. He was quite young....too young to sell me a car....so does anyone know for sure?
