Re: Suspension Lifts

I am a new FJ owner and am planning on throwing a lift on, although I have read that there are some lifts that are better than others (looks good but performance just isn't there). Any information on top quality suspension kits that anyone can provide would be great...

looks like I get to be first on this one. http://www.fjcruiserforums.com/forum...-all-here.html
Read through that link carefully, and search through this site regarding specific products.

Unfortunately, what gums up the research is when a horde of people chime in saying "I got the worlds greatest suspension/lift from company "X" and haven't had a problem"... when the truth is, they have very little time with that setup, haven't seriously wheeled, probably will not seriously wheel, and will not have their vehicle for more than 36 months or so. Compounding that is the desire for people to defend their purchase out of pride.

The only suspension system with years of history on the same components used on the FJC is OME.

Not as cheap as spacers, not as expensive as coilovers, a great ride iimprovemnet for both street and trail from a company that has been building suspensions for Toyotas for over 30 years, and suspension components for this Toyota platform for 5 years.
