All Pro FJ Cruiser Light Bar & Windscreen Kit

These instructions are intended only as a general guide for installing All-Pro products. If you have any doubts or questions about installing these or other parts please call us at the shop 951-658-7077 or contact a competent fabricator / mechanic. Aftermarket accessories are intended to modify and/or prepare a vehicle for uses which exceed conditions anticipated by the vehicle manufacturer. These uses include high performance demands and negotiation of rough terrain. These conditions have extreme variance and cannot be controlled by the vehicle manufacturer or aftermarket accessory manufacturer. Therefore, the safe control of your vehicle is entirely your responsibility. Do not purchase parts from All-Pro Off Road unless you are willing to accept this responsibility. Do not install any All-Pro part that you do not feel competent at installing without causing present or future injury to yourself or others; consult a professional installer. Modification of your vehicle to enhance performance with the parts sold by All-Pro Off Road can result in dangerous situations that may result in bodily harm. All Pro has designed the light bar and windscreen to be used in conjunction with the factory Toyota FJ Cruiser roof rack, it has not been tested with any other rack system and cannot be guaranteed to fit on any other application. This system has been engineered with Baja Designs SolTek 4” lights, and although other lights may be used, we do not guarantee compatibility with this system. These lights provide excellent performance at a reasonable price, and keep the profile low so the entire assembly will be below the highest point of the factory rack setup. All Pro recommends using spot or pencil style lights to minimize shadows in the front of the vehicle caused by the roofline blocking the beam pattern of flood or driving style lights.

1. Remove the T40 Torx front bolts on the roof racks 2 forward legs, being careful to not allow the threaded inserts to fall into the headliner area underneath. If the inserts do fall in, removal of the headliner will be required to recover them and re-install. (You may use a piece of wire bent at the end into a hook shape to retain them in one hole before removing the second bolt on each side). Carefully loosen the remaining bolts on the middle and rear legs of the factory rack but do not remove them completely. This allows the rack to be lifted up in front enough to unbolt the end caps from the factory rack tube.

2. After removing the front leg end caps using a T25 Torx socket from underneath the cap, slide the leg brackets onto the rack tubes and replace the factory end caps.

3. Set the rack back down onto the roof and re-install the front T40 Torx leg bolts. Then tighten the middle and rear leg bolts. The rack should now be firmly attached to the roof of your FJ again like it was at the start, but with the leg brackets above the front leg end caps.

4. If using lights, install them onto the light bar at this time with the carriage bolts provided. The powder coating may make the square section of the bolts tight in the respective holes, so filing them may be necessary to get the bolts to seat in properly. Secure the light housing using the short NyLok nuts provided.

5. Place a towel or other material to protect the roof of your vehicle on top between the left and right rack legs.

6. Lift up and position the light bar between the roof rack legs, inserting the ends of the light bar into the leg brackets. (It is helpful to have assistance on this step to avoid damage to the vehicle).

7. Install the supplied rubber weather-strip material to the bottom of the air dam.

8. Place the air dam against the front legs of the factory rack and line up the holes on the ends at the leg brackets. Install the long button head cap screws (BHCS) through the air dam with a 7/32” hex wrench or socket, bracket and light bar from the front. Slide the assembly down until the weather strip is contacting & following the roofline. Install NyLok nuts from behind BUT ONLY FINGER TIGHT. It is important to leave them loose to help the installation of two center BHCS.

9. Install the 2 remaining cap head screws into the center support through the front of the air dam with a 5/32” hex wrench or socket, and secure from behind with supplied nuts.

10. Tighten the two outer BHCS that you left loose earlier.

This completes the installation of the Light Bar and Air Dam assembly. If you purchased lights along with this kit, you will now need to wire the assembly to either a switch or your high beams.
