Yes, I am from what used to be conservative San Diego, was once a Republican (until I realized that I was too poor to be one LOL), and am now middle of the road thanks to the Bay Area. It's not a bad place to be. I don't like extremism in any form. And you are dam right I am American -- my family has been here since 1750!!
