Spec Aftermarket Clutch

Twice last winter out playing I smelled a burning and it smelled like a clutch but no slippage.

I called everyone, no one that I could find made a aftermarket clutch for any of the newer Toyota trucks.

A few months ago I started working with SPEC, what a great company!
I told them I wanted a after market clutch for the FJ they said sure send me a new one and we will make anything you like.

I sent them a new clutch and pressure plate, and 2 weeks later I have a Stage 3 Plus The Stage 3+ features a streetable high clamp pressure plate and full face carbon semi-metallic disc. Listed as an upgrade to the stage 3, it offers torque capacities more comparable to the stage 5 but with drivability equal to, and in some cases better than, the stage 3. The high capacity and excellent drivability characteristics of this clutch is a result of years of research and development for this SPEC exclusive disc compound.

I had dropped it off two weeks ago and picked it up yesterday when I returned from LA, my buddy goes your going to be happy with the way it drives.

The first two photos on the left are the stock parts the ones on the right are the aftermarket.

It was pretty jerky, I called spec and they said sorry we forgot to put the instructions in since I had the first one they made, requires a 500 mile break in, I am 150 and it is much better.
