Seems to pull harder around 3500 - 5000, but that might just be because I can hear it, and as far as offroading goes the 10lbs of torque that I might have lost at 1500 - 2000 is really not much of an issue, if am going that slow the T-Case will be in 4 low with better gearing... 90% of this vehicles use will be on the street, so its someting I can live with,
