Visibility in the FJ is relative

Two weeks ago I was driving this 300ZX

and believe it or not, it had all around worse visibility that the FJ. Additionally, it was much harder to see a traffic light when you were the first one at it. Sometimes no amount of head-bobing would let me see the light, so I'd have to watch for the car next to me to start going! Additionaly, I'd be sitting maybe 16" off the ground, so that didn't help visibility matters much.

But as with the Z, I added the small round convex mirrors to the side view mirrors of the FJ right away. So after two weeks and 600 miles of driving the FJ I feel like I have much better situational awarness of my surroundings than I did with the old Z.
