Re: Paint Chipping Class Action?

I hope that we do get our concessions and that the paint is durable. In the event that the concessions are made and the paint continues to be an issue, then I will have the FJ stripped to bare metal (with every part removed to do a full restoration) and pay whatever it costs to have it done right...if that means getting a $10,000.00 paint job, then so be it. This is my toy and no mod/improvement is out of the question as far as I'm concerned.

One day, it will be my ideal FJ, regardless if Toyota gets involved or not!

Scion and other model Toyota owners have been complaining about this also for a lot longer then the FJ has been around. No change in paint. Why do you think the FJ is going to be any different? The paint will be the same next year as this year, and most likely the same going forward until they discontinue the vehicle. If you have Toyota repaint your vehicle, it will also be the same paint. Only option is to go aftermarket and pay for it yourself.
