Re: Paint Chipping Class Action?

Black Cherry...13 Paint chips @ 2weeks; over 50 @ 10 weeks (5,000 miles). Had dealer look at truck at 1st oil change...explained that my previous vehicle was just sold when I bought the FJ and was 6 years /155,000 mi old and didn't have this many chips!...same location/roads...no change. Was told that this was caused by normal rock chips/not a warranty issue as evidenced by the pitting in the widshield (no kidding but a different problem!). As in another reply, chipping everywhere on car except rear door ( and I believe that if I "backed into a bug" it would be chipped there also.

There is no way this is normal. Had a problem with paint on a new '87 Ford truck which it took Ford 3 years to admit there was a problem and then they repainted it.

This is my 1st new Toyota and I love the vehicle...however, the legendary quality I have heard so much about apears to be flaking off rapidly!

Count me in on any action.
