Re: Paint Chipping Class Action?

"On Toyota's website it states:
"Due to the nature of off-road driving, a truck's body has greater demands placed upon it than an average vehicle; the two most prevalent being body flex and corrosion. To help make the body rigid, the FJ Cruiser uses specially placed reinforcements and high-tensile-strength sheet metal. In order to help fight rust the FJ get anti-corrosion sheet steel in key areas along with anti-rust wax, sealer, and ANTI-CHIPPING PAINT.
With wheelwells being extremely susceptible to paint chipping and corrosion the FJ's get a thick PVC coating to help protect them form a gruesome fate."

So with that being said isn't Toyota responsible for all the FJ's that are having the paint chipping issue????

This is not normal like many people have said. This paint (Voodoo Blue) is not holding up something needs to be done."

This was a post from another FJ owner (I guess would also be considered a whiner)

The facts are that some are chipping, some are not. For those of us that have it happening, we are not alone, for those of you that don't have it happening, I'm happy for you and sincerely hope it doesn't start happening. As hostile as some of the people on this thread have been, I don't wish them any ill, and wouldn't wish them this issue.

Still not sure why the people that are having this issue don't have a right to talk about it with each other. This forum is not a totaliltarian regime that must squash peoples rights to discuss even the negative side of our experiences.

I think we have said from the get go that if you don't have the problem, you don't need to participate in our attempt to get it taken care of, I'm at a loss trying to understand why a few of you want to try to mock and shut down any dialogue.

An earlier comment was made that we were a bunch of liberals trying to screw the man....???? What the h3ll is that supposed to mean. Capitalism has plenty of room for customer satisfaction, communism is where you take what you get and don't dare complain. Seems to me the lefties are the ones trying to stop the discussion.
