Really, we joke about it but I could tell you horror stories about staff (or dr's family) abusing it and being found dead in the chair the next day. Not something to mess with and I do not like for my visits either.
Same here. One of my clients told me that life insurance for dentists, especially recently graduated dentists, is very expensive for this reason, or will have a no pay clause for death by NO2. Some of my clients have had problems with cleaning crews using the NO2. On a recent new office install, somebody stole 2 large tanks of NO2 while there were people working in the building.

Take what man makes and use it,
But do not worship it,
For it shall pass.

If to do were as easy as to know what were good to do,
Chapels had been churches, and poor mans cottages, princes’ palaces.

Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats.
