I though Polish was just used to restore that show room shine. I want something that will help protect that shine??

I have read a number of sites that recommends cleaning and waxing once you get your new car home. New cars are painted before assembly and have had time for the paint to totally cure. If you have had a new paint job, you should wait 3-4 weeks before applying any type of paint protection. However none of the sites recommend what was best wax for a new car.
