Actually it is about the same as automotive paint anymore and comes in any color you want. It does have a bit of a "rubbery" but still smooth texture to it. I might just look into it. It does still chip though it takes a lot more force.
Ask anyone who works on commercial airplanes or an airport ramp. The underbelly of an aircraft is usually trashed within the first year. Especially the Alaska Airlines 737s they land on the beach with (fish haulers). Those things get painted I think every other year.
