Doc...one Q...what do scorpions feel like???
Since I was driving with lights blazing, I'd attracted a variety of flying insects and there were some large crickets in the bunch. I had about 1 second to register the sensation of a crawling insect about the proportions of a cricket before I felt a bee-sting. I had just leaned out on my forearm to check the position of my rear wheel and rock slider against the wall, driver's side. I quickly lifted my arm and saw the silhouette of the characteristic scorpion shape scurrying away along the window frame. By the time I had my .45 drawn, it was gone.

I barely had time to proclaim something equivalent to, "fornicate! gosh darn it!!!"

The sting matured rapidly into sting+throbbing ache but it wasn't horrifying. It did stop me from putting my elbow out the window though, because the swollen spot was RIGHT where my arm rests. That was annoying.
