Yeah, people who don't rely on mirrors don't understand the hazard here. I also drove 18-wheel trucks, and I know what I want to see in the mirror . The FJ has a blind spot you can hide a Lincoln Continental in, and I'm not exagerating even a little.

I added two convex spot mirrors to the outer upper corner of each side mirror, and the blind spot is gone. However, you have to remember to check the spots and not just the main mirror, and therein lies the danger.

Going to look into the Multivex mirrors.
