baja rack owners plz read and answer :)

Hey folks here is the story, just came back from a camping trip and had a Kayak and Canoe up on my roof rack, long story short two of the stock cross bars broke at the claw and looking to replace the rack with a Baja rack.

Here is my question, i have leveled my rig with front leveling springs, and am concerned about the height of the truck + Baja rack i think i read somewhere that the height with a stock rack on a leveled 4x2 is around 6'4", how much higher is the Baja rack on a leveled 4x2?

my concern is brought on be the possibility of being put in an underground parking garage in my condo when i take possession in a few months, and they of course haven't posted the max height for said garage

Thx

The BajaRack will add an inch to the height. That's all there is to it!

If your going to be living there in a few months go over there with a tape measure and measure it for yourself if no one will do it for you.

X2.

Plus it's the best rack for the money out there, IMO.

Re: baja rack owners plz read and answer :)

It may be easier to measure with a 2 piece pole and C-clamp, find the lowest spot by connecting the 2 poles together with the cclamp. It can be adjusted as lower spots are found along your path and measured. Is this clear? I think this is called a "story pole" by builders/surveyors.

If your garage is standard 7', then you should be good.

They are great racks..

My car garage is 7' and I can just squeeze in but I have to remove my hi-lift from the rack.

Re: baja rack owners plz read and answer :)

The brand new Baja Utility Rack for FJ's (p/n BR-TYFJ-UT-S-1-0) is super low-profile. It has no sides and even the wind deflector goes from the rack down to the windshield area.
