Re: OK, now I can ask this and not get flamed

Thanks guys! I have only had the occasion once and that was since the unfortunate incident with the dealership!!!!! I liked the feel of it and wondered if it was very common in the 4x2 world. My boss has a Jeep Commander and has the rear diff lock. I mentioned that I have it and he sais well that is useless. I get stuck all the time. kinda makes me wonder, you know.

Lets GOOOOOOO Layton. Had a Mustang 5 liter back in the day and I was one Bad A$$ Momma, let me tell you....... Ask my son Nate. I am ashamed to say that I had that bad boy at 110 mph and thought I was going to blow the back window out as I had the sun roof out too. STUPID!!!!

HAHA. nice. As said before. I would use the auto lsd in most situations. If it looks like you might need it, lock it before hand.

Once you are stuck and both rear tires have no traction, locking the axle most times won't help you. With a 2wd, you have to rely on momentum a little bit more then traction.

Gotcha dude!!!! Cannot wait till the 30th!!!! I am SO PUMPED. Nate saw my lift last Friday. I was shopping at Perlis and one of the girls in his rig spotted the ole CG. He shot me a PM and said he had seen him and thought the lift looked really good!!! My rack is really awesome too. Let me know if you want some of those steel pieces that I used. It is all looking really nice!!!

thread hijack starting:
I got mine up there via some painted u-bolts. It is doing fine, i may try to push it back a little more. What are you painting on the 30th? I still need to paint those mirrors black to match my tundra handles.
hijack over.

C'mon Kim!! You can't say things like that and not have someone make a comment!!

As for the rear locker, fuggin' dealer told me that you could not get the 2WD without the locker.....fuggin' dealers....

...and I have not had the opportunity to use it just yet....
